He was a track runner for four years there, and he continued to pole vault, setting the school record at 15’6″.ĭespite his early success, though, Ken’s track career reached unprecedented heights later in life. Ken’s early entry love of the pole vault continued into his high school years, where he set the school record at 12’6″, propelling him to Henderson State University. Now, though, 46 years later, that’s exactly what he is.
